East Surf Wax

I don't like localism on the beach. But I like local product. Recently I found this organic
beeswax based surf wax at local shop in Brooklyn. I've never seen this brand, But package
design is so different from any other surf wax brand. So, I was curious about this new brand.

I asked about wax and the guy at store he told me "Don't buy it!" with a broad grin.
But he was just joking. Gentleman next to him was actually person who is making this wax
in the neighborhood.

I like support local product and now I know who make this wax, So that make you attach to
the product someway.

Crescent grip is another cool feature, It's easy to grip. And also, you can easily distinguish
between base coat and wax. (I always mixed it up)

I tried this wax, and this is one of my favorite wax so far.

Morris Kitchen: Ginger Syrup

I like ginger ale in summer time, and I was looking for good one for long time.
When I was in Japan, I used to drink Wilkinson's ginger ale which is Japanese
local brand (Founded by English man called Clifford Wilkinson in 1889 ).
It tastes really bitter and dense ginger flavor. Many bartender use wilkinson
for cocktail base.

I found this Morris Kitchen's ginger syrup few years ago at some shop near my house.
Since then, It becomes my habit to buy this syrup in early summer, and start enjoy
mix ginger syrup in seltzer.

Morris Kitchen was started by brother and sister, Tyler and Kari Morris in 2009.
And they bottled in Brooklyn, New York.

As soon as I got home after surfing,
It's time for mix fresh ginger ale and relax on the couch.

NEPENTHES×WHITE'S BOOTS

This is collaboration of Japanese fashion brand "Nepenthes" and American boots company "White's Boots".  The White's Boots tradition has its roots in the logging country of west Virginia back before the Civil War. (According their site) This is Nepenthes's  exclusive model, and  it features 6 eyelet short boots (Oxford style) with Vibram sole. When I started wearing this shoes, leather insole was really tight, and hurt my foot. But now it fits much more comfortable and I really start liking this sturdy and blunt character shoes.

New York, Line by Line: From Broadway to the Battery

This great art book was first published in 1967. Robinson, a German illustrator, his free-form ink drawing with micro detailed of architecture, and city scape are very inspiring and mesmerize me. When I saw illustration of Beastie Boys album "To The 5 Boroughs", (by Matteo Pericoli who is another great illustrator) I really loved the line drawing of New York city scape. Since then I was looking for the art book of simple ink drawing of New York city. And I'm glad to find this reissue of Robinson's LINE BY LINE.

Preiser 17706: Workshop Equipment

PREISER is the German manufacturer for figures, accessories and vehicles in various miniature scale, And used in diorama, train model, and architects to create realistic scenes. This workshop equipment set is in HO scale (1:87) . I really like design of industrial machine and workshop tools, so this is nice way to own your mini factory on your desktop. Mold of model is pretty crisp and it has incredible details. I also like simple and clean package design of PREISER.

Mati &Music: 52 Record covers

Mati Klarwein. (1932-2002) One of the greatest artist from 60's. He is famous about LP album cover of "Bitches Brew" by Miles Davis, which were released in 1970. His visual expression and Miles Davis's early stage of electric Jazz (fusion) are not only chaotic but also there's clear concept and style.
